ABOUT ME

SOMETHING ABOUT ME...

As a child I was very fond of art, I made drawings, and I saw my father take analog photographs at every opportunity that presented itself. I was fascinated to see how he developed with the different materials of that time: photographic rolls with different ISO, black and white rolls, color filters, developing the negatives ... He captured natural scenes and moments that were transformed into beautiful albums with artistic touches . Over the years I realized that photography attracted me more and more and it was on a trip to San Francisco that I bought my first camera. After a few years, on a trip to South Africa I bought my first digital camera. After receiving my Bachelor of Tourism I traveled the world and in Australia I discovered the wonders of the seabed. In 2003 we established our own RUBICON DIVING diving center in the Canary Islands. My great friend, colleague and husband gave me a magnificent gift, my first underwater camera, a Canon G7 with its Ikelite housing, and also a course with Arturo Telle, world champion of photosub. My great friend Helen Atkinson helped me perfect the techniques and she was already an underwater photographer in her own right! For me, no two dives are the same, there are always different backlights, moments, different life. I love to play with the framing, the lighting, the depth, the situation, the difficulty of the immersion, and with it do magic. In short, I love telling stories with my camera and modeling images with light… Today, I am dedicated to the graphic design and marketing part of RUBICON DIVING, but what I am most passionate about is taking photography and giving courses. You can find information on my page and if you want you can contact me and I will be able to guide you and help you with your questions. Talk later?
